<div id="mw-content-text" class="mw-body-content mw-content-ltr" lang="de" dir="ltr"><div class="mw-content-ltr mw-parser-output" lang="de" dir="ltr"><p><b>Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium</b>, kurz <b>DMEM</b>, ist ein standardisiertes <a href="Zellkulturmedium" title="Zellkulturmedium">Zellkulturmedium</a> mit breiter Verwendbarkeit für humane und verschiedene tierische Zellen. DMEM ist eine von <a href="Renato_Dulbecco" title="Renato Dulbecco">Renato Dulbecco</a> im Jahr 1959 publizierte modifizierte Variante des <i><a href="Eagle's_Minimal_Essential_Medium" class="mw-redirect" title="Eagle's Minimal Essential Medium">Eagle's Minimum Essential Medium</a> (EMEM)</i>, welches im Vergleich zu EMEM eine vierfache Konzentration an <a href="Aminos%C3%A4uren" title="Aminosäuren">Aminosäuren</a> und <a href="Vitamin" title="Vitamin">Vitaminen</a> enthält.<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Heutzutage sind zahlreiche Versionen von DMEM mit leicht unterschiedlichen Zusammensetzungen kommerziell erhältlich, z.&nbsp;B. mit oder ohne <a href="Phenolrot" title="Phenolrot">Phenolrot</a> und <a href="Glutamin" title="Glutamin">Glutamin</a>, bzw. niedrigem (1000 mg/L) oder hohem (4500 mg/L) Gehalt an <a href="Glucose" title="Glucose">Glucose</a>, welche für verschiedenen Zellkultur-Anwendungen optimiert sind.
